Bought, exchanged, now fits but has twisted strap
"I originally bought this vest in a 20, because I wasn't sure of You and All's sizing yet. It was too big by a couple of inches (but not as much as a different vest), so I exchanged it for a size 16. The size 16 arrives today, and the second I pulled it on (over my head, without needing to undo the laces), I was like, 'Oh, this fits much better!' I then tried to untwist the right shoulder strap and realised that I couldn't, because it was sewn twisted at the shoulder seam. This is the only manufacturing area I've observed from You and All in the 32 items I've received from them so far, other than a small thread being sewn around the eye part of a hook and eye on a skirt that prevented the hook from being able to hook into it, and when the thread was cut (like I later saw they had done on a pair of pants) the eye fell off. That was a very small error, this is quite a large one. Or, well, quite a 'how did no one notice?' one, anyway. I contemplated exchanging the vest a second time, but since my mother offered to fix it for me by unpicking the shoulder seam, turning the front half of the strap 180 degrees and then sewing it back together, I decided not to pay another $10.99 handling fee for the one item. (I also accidentally cut the tags off of this piece instead of the jumpsuit I received at the same time, so no return/exchange for me anyway) This vest is a made of a thicker material, especially compared to the other vest I bought (and returned). It is also somewhat stretchy, as are the laces, which means I don't have to untie it to pull it on over my head (your mileage may vary on that). I will also say that, unlike Riley T, I think this vest runs just little bit large. In other You and All tops, I wear a size 18, though I could probably squeeze into a size 16 in the stretchy ones. My bra size is a 20D, which is a 46 inch overbust measurement, which matches the size 18 on the size chart. Even with all the laces tied up as tight as they will go without causing distortion in the fabric, this vest is not tight. I can definitely fit at least one finger between my skin and the vest. If I bought this vest now for the first time, knowing what I know, and a 14 was available, I would buy that, since the lacing and the stretchiness gives you the adjustability needed. This vest probably fits me like it does the model, since it looks like she has a little bit of wiggle room as well, but again, I would expect that in the size 18, not the 16. The size 16 is supposed to fit a 38 inch bust, not a 46. It's a very nice vest, though just a little bit bigger than I would like, and the perma-twisted shoulder strap is a little disappointed. I gave 4 stars based on literally everything else, though, and rated the quality as 'good' because, well... everything else about the two versions of this that I received were excellent, and since the strap issue was 'low', I had to even it out. You might get a really nice vest, or you might get one with a permanently twisted strap. Since I paid about $10.50 (plus about $5.47 if you split the handling fee for the exchange in half with the other piece from that order) for this vest on sale and have someone who can fix it for free, it was worth it to me, but it might not be for you."
